Medical Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This is a "floater" position, which will require front desk and clinical training. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients. Administer medications as directed by physicians, including injections and oral medications. Conduct patient intake, including taking vital signs, medical history, and preparing patients for examination. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist in various medical procedures and educate patients about their health conditions. Check-in patients, copy insurance cards, collect copays and payments, schedule appointments. Fill-in when needed for all areas of the office. Requirements Certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not required. Experience in outpatient settings or primary care is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and basic life support techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare team members.
