Job Description
- Medical Assistant - Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery
- Adecco Healthcare is partnering with a well-respected, multi‑location cosmetic and plastic surgery practice, to hire a full-time
- Medical Assistant
- . This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative clinical team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, patient-centered specialty environment. On-the-job training is provided.
- Position Overview
- The Medical Assistant will support physicians during cosmetic and plastic surgery consultations and procedures while ensuring accurate documentation and exceptional patient care. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-touch clinical setting.
- Key Responsibilities
- Accompany physicians during consultations and examinations
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Transcribe physical exam findings using proper medical terminology
- Enter physician-directed orders and complete chart documentation
- Room patients, reconcile medications, and assist with minor procedures
- Provide patient education and outstanding customer service
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned
- Qualifications
- Prior cosmetic or plastic surgery experience and/or medical scribing preferred
- Strong typing and data entry skills with excellent spelling and grammar
- Ability to listen to complex medical information and summarize clearly
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, diagnostics, and pharmacology
- Comfortable translating medical abbreviations into full terminology
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Schedule & Requirements
Full-time:
32-36 hours per week (schedule based on department needs)- Flexible availability required
- Travel between satellite offices required: ○ Danbury ○ Ridgefield ○ New Milford ○ Norwalk
- Experience with Electronic Health Records required
- Compensation & Perks
- Hourly pay: $20-30/hour (depending on experience)
- Bonus structure: ○ $1,000 after 6 months ○ $1,000 after 1 year
