Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across an outpatient setting, ensuring smooth clinical operations and exceptional patient experiences. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assist clinicians in diagnosis and treatment planning. Assist with clinical procedures, including medication administration Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems by documenting patient encounters, updating records, and coding diagnoses using ICD codes efficiently. Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable throughout their visit. Qualifications Prior experience working in urgent care, outpatient clinics or similar healthcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration is essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to handle diverse patient populations with empathy and professionalism. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical-surgical practices across various specialties including internal medicine, pediatrics and geriatrics. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
