Medical Assistant

Busy dermatology office in need of a professional Medical Assistant or Derm Tech who values exceptional patient care, thrives in a fast paced environment, and works effectively on a team. Job Duties are but not limited to: Assist in obtaining patient history, chief complaint and vital signs as necessary Escorts patients to and from exam rooms Complies with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory entities Set up rooms as needed for in office procedures Assist physician with office procedures as needed Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task with phones, patients and other responsibilities. Collect and process specimens accurately and timely Answer and direct all phone calls and messages appropriately Schedule appointments and procedures Screen, collect and follow up on patient test results Maintain accurate medication and immunization records Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies as needed Ensure that positive results or stat results are provided to the practitioner in a timely manner Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies as needed Effectively communicates and works well with other team members Completes assigned projects/tasks Performs other assigned duties efficiently

Required Education/Training/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent Experience with EMR Eclinicalworks preferred, not required One year of experience preferred, not required

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
