Job Description
Medical Assistant Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary care to our patients. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you will support medical providers, care managers, and other staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient experiences. This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative, patient-centered environment committed to improving community health.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare examination rooms for patient visits by turning on instruments, computer systems, lights, and ensuring rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked each morning. Assist medical providers during patient examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, recording patient histories, and preparing necessary supplies. Support care coordination by facilitating patient flow within the clinic, scheduling follow-up appointments, and managing patient documentation. Provide basic nursing care within the scope of certification and agency protocols, including administering medications, injections, and other treatments as directed. Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with privacy and confidentiality standards. Ensure infection control protocols are followed and maintain a safe, clean environment in all clinical areas. Respond to patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service, demonstrating professionalism and compassion.Skills and Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification/registration. Prior experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic setting preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with patients and team members. Ability to work within the scope of practice and adhere to agency protocols and policies. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment.Employee Benefits:
