Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support physicians and nurses by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring high-quality patient care and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Take and record patient vital signs and medical histories Prepare patients for examinations and assist during exams Collect and prepare laboratory specimens Perform basic laboratory tests Administer medications and injections as directed by a physician Conduct EKGs, remove sutures, and change dressings Assist with minor procedures and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked
Administrative Duties:
Schedule patient appointments Greet and check in patients Update and maintain patient medical records (EMR/EHR systems) Handle telephone calls and messages Process billing and insurance paperwork Manage office inventory and supplies
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Completion of a Medical Assistant program (certificate or diploma) Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred CPR/BLS certification preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Work Environment:
Primarily a clinical office setting Frequent interaction with patients, physicians, and staff May require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds Exposure to bodily fluids and infectious diseases possible

$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
