Medical Assistant

• Please note that if you do not have the required 1+ years working in a dermatology, plastic surgical, or cosmetic practice, your application will not meet our requirements for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting patients to exam rooms: Obtain a medical-surgical patient history
• Obtain vital signs if indicated
• Assist dermatologist or allied personnel in the care and treatment of patients
• Set up for skin biopsies, cyst surgery, and skin cancer surgery
• Perform intramuscular and intralesional injections
• Assist with wound and ulcer care
• Draw blood when indicated
• Maintain accurate medical records and charting

SKILLS:

• Ability to operate and troubleshoot medical equipment and systems
• Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control practices
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

REQUIREMENTS

• 1+ years experience in a dermatology, plastic surgical, and / or cosmetic practice
• Registered / Certified Medical Assistant
• Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control practices
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

EDUCATION/LICENSURE

• Certified / Registered Medical Assistant
• BLS certified (preferred) Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
