Job Description
Job Summary:
The role of the Research Technician is to serve as an integral member of the site and study team during study processes, including pre-admit, admission, orientation, conduct, discharge and study close.Essential Functions:
Performs conduct procedures in strict compliance with the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), QA/QC procedures, OSHA guidelines and other state and local regulations as applicable Provides assistance in the execution of clinical trials Ensures the well-being and safety of study participants Provides administrative and operational support Searches participant luggage for contraband Sets up PK rooms according to study protocol needs Performs venipuncture, EKG tracing, and vital sign collection in strict accordance with trial protocols and GCP standards Executes specialized specimen collection, including urine collection and biological sample processing, ensuring sample integrity for laboratory analysis Manages study-specific tasks such as meal distribution, dietary monitoring, and clinical flow support Core essential skill sets to be considered for the role: Minimum one year experience in venipuncture (also known as Phlebotomy). At least one of the following required and results to be presented during their onboarding screenings: Completion of a formal Phlebotomy certificate OR Medical Assistant program certificate is required. A high school diploma or G.E.D is required.Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or G.E.D is required. At least one of the following experiences are required: Completion of a formal Phlebotomy OR Medical Assistant program OR equivalent verifiable clinical experience (e.g., 1+ years in a clinical setting) is required.Experience:
One to two (1-2) years of experience in a clinical environment An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.Pay:
