Ohio Foot and Ankle Specialists (OFAS) Position Summary Ohio Foot and Ankle Specialists is seeking a dependable and motivated Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver high-quality patient care at our Garrettsville location. This role will work both clinically and administratively to ensure efficient and effective patient flow. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for examination, including taking vitals and documenting medical history Assist providers during examinations and procedures Perform clinical tasks such as wound care, dressing changes, and instrument preparation Administer injections or medications as directed (if certified/allowed) Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms Document patient information accurately in the EMR system Provide patient education and follow-up instructions Assist with scheduling, phone calls, and front office support as needed Travel to other locations as needed to support coverage Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) Prior clinical experience in a medical setting preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a team-based environment Preferred Skills Experience in podiatry or specialty care Knowledge of EMR systems Strong patient care and communication skills Work Environment Clinical setting requiring standing, walking, and assisting patients May involve exposure to medical procedures and equipment About Lake County Foot & Ankle Associates LLC Ohio Foot and Ankle Specialists is the largest podiatry practice in Ohio, with over 40 providers in more than 30 locations across Ohio.
