Medical Assistant- FULL TIME- no weekends, no major holidays •Ability to respond to application inquiries in a timely manner is required.• Are you a hard-working and detail-oriented person looking to join a lively and dynamic doctor's office? Look no further! We're currently seeking an experienced LPN or Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our Medical Providers during their daily clinic hours, communicating with patients, as well as coordinating medication orders and all follow-up testing needs.

o Assists medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of physician. o Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, answering telephones, faxing documents. o Clinical duties may include, preparing treatment room for patient exams, recording patient medical history in electronic medical record, and administering treatments and medications as ordered by the physician. o Other duties may include cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment. o The MA will represent the company professionally and positively to enhance and promote the core values and mission of NRVM, always exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy, and tact in customer interactions. o The MA will possess qualities consistent with dependability and trustworthiness, including being present and on time for assigned shifts. o The MA works under the primary supervision of the team lead, Practice Manager, and general supervision of the medical providers.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
o Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's electronic medical record. o Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filled out and available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment o Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential. o Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations; Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms o Disinfects, cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations; Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. o Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required; Properly disposes of contaminated supplies o Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. o Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.) o Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls. o Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings. o Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations. o Interviews patients to obtain their medical history. o Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files. o Performs routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks. o Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. o The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. o Knowledge of primary care treatments and procedures. o Knowledge of pharmaceutical practices, dosing, and medication administration. o Ability to prioritize duties, perform them efficiently and adjust to and accept the unexpected. o Ability to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment. o Excellent communication skills including spelling and grammar. o Excellent telephone manners and etiquette. o Knowledge of medical terminology. o Skills in answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner and using a multi-line phone system. o Ability to work efficiently and comfortably with other clinic employees. o Ability to be punctual and dependable. o Ability to complete assigned projects and meet deadlines. o Knowledge of the cultural and social backgrounds of the variable population groups. Required Qualifications o High school graduate or GED equivalent. o Must have a working understanding of patient privacy laws, and respect patients' rights to privacy and confidentiality. o Experience working with PC based computer operations and electronic medical records. o Must be detail oriented and with good organizational skills. o Ability to respond to application inquiries in a timely manner is required.Job Type:
