Medical Assistant Adult Primary Care | Small Independent MDVIP-Affiliated Practice We are a small, independent adult primary care practice with two physicians and a strong focus on personalized, relationship-based care. Our practice is affiliated with MDVIP, a national organization that supports independent primary care physicians. Because of our practice model, we maintain a significantly smaller patient panel than a traditional medical office and provide more attentive, high-quality care. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant or similarly experienced clinical assistant to support our physicians, assist with patient care and help deliver an excellent patient experience. Phlebotomy experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Greet, check in, room patients, and obtain vital signs.
• Collect and document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Assist physicians with visits, procedures, follow-up care, and other clinical tasks.
• Perform blood draws, prepare lab specimens, provide draw instructions, and manage bloodwork-related tasks.
• Support annual wellness and pre-physical testing, including EKG, ABI, pulmonary function testing, body composition, gait speed, grip testing, depression screenings, and lab panels.
• Administer immunizations and assist with procedures such as ear irrigations, stitch removal, and splinting, as appropriate.
• Obtain lab results, testing reports, hospital notes, and outside medical records.
• Schedule appointments for physicals, office visits, lab work, and follow-up care.
• Communicate results, instructions, and follow-up needs to patients professionally and compassionately.
• Complete EMR documentation for visits, procedures, immunizations, calls, referrals, and related care.
• Assist with prior authorizations for medications and imaging.
• Help educate prospective patients about the MDVIP Wellness Program and the benefits of the practice.
• Keep the office clean, organized, and prepared for opening and closing. Qualifications Required
• Excellent patient care and customer-service skills.
• Phlebotomy skills and comfort drawing blood independently.
• Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
• Professional, respectful, team-oriented approach.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and EMR systems.
• BLS certification.
• Successful completion of skills orientation. Preferred
• CMA, RMA, LPN, or RN credential.
• 2-5 years of medical assistant or related clinical experience.
• Adult primary care or outpatient experience.
• Experience with EKGs, immunizations, ear irrigations, stitch removal, splinting, and wellness testing.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Athena or similar EMR experience. Schedule

Pay:

$19.00 - $26.00 per hour
