At AVITA MD, Medical Assistants play an essential role in supporting clinical operations, enhancing patient experience, and helping ensure efficient workflows throughout the practice. Position Overview This is a float Medical Assistant role supporting our clinic locations in: Mountain View Los Altos Los Gatos Candidates must have the ability and flexibility to commute between all three clinic locations based on operational needs and scheduling. As a Medical Assistant, you will work directly with physicians and physician assistants to support patient care, clinical workflows, and daily clinic operations. This role combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities and requires strong communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills. Key Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist providers with clinical workflows and patient care Document patient information accurately within the EMR system Process and manage patient messages and clinical tasks Assist with prescription refill requests and follow-up coordination Prepare and process referrals, lab orders, and imaging requests Perform injections, EKGs, and other clinical procedures as permitted Coordinate care with specialists, pharmacies, and external facilities Maintain cleanliness, stocking, and organization of exam rooms Support both back-office and administrative clinical workflows Deliver exceptional patient service and compassionate care Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred Previous outpatient or primary care experience preferred Ability to commute between Mountain View, Los Altos, and Los Gatos required Strong understanding of clinical and administrative workflows Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Experience with insurance verification and referrals is a plus Bilingual is a plus What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who: Is motivated and eager to learn Works well in a collaborative healthcare environment Has strong attention to detail and organizational skills Provides compassionate and professional patient care Can adapt quickly and assist wherever needed Values teamwork, efficiency, and patient satisfaction Why Join
