Job Description

We are a brand-new Dermatology Clinic located in Sheridan, WY. With three locations and the expansion of our main clinic in Billings, MT, Yellowstone Dermatology Associates is the premier destination for complex medical and surgical dermatology, focusing on skin cancer treatment and removal. What we are looking for:
Medical Assistants are the backbone of our clinic and so important to our success. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing the best patient experience possible, with a focus on empathy. Our ideal candidate will be super comfortable demonstrating competency in all skills regarding patient care. If you can make others smile, even better! What you'll do: Maintain efficient and timely patient flow while supporting patient safety and satisfaction Collect and document patient information, clinical data, and other relevant details accurately and timely while ensuring patient privacy Assist the physician in performing Mohs Micrographic surgery, excisions, repairs, and other dermatologic procedures Applying pressure bandages, performing wound checks, removing sutures Provide post-operative patient care including educating patient on home-care instructions Document patient perioperative assessment, visit notes, procedural reports, and other communication and health information through EMR Respond quickly to care questions or concerns and resolve Deliver patient care per provider orders based on practice guidelines and applicable regulations Maintain and apply infection control standards Practice strict adherence to all OSHA standards Operate clinical equipment according to equipment guidelines Uphold a culture of high-quality medical care and a supportive work environment Communicate effectively and efficiently with staff, outside clinics and pharmacies Stock and maintain exam rooms and supply storage areas. Monitor expiration dates and act accordingly Participate in staff meetings Interested candidates should have/be: Able to adjust to volume changes and activity surges Able to adhere to HIPAA standards and policies Able to receive and apply constructive feedback for improvement and growth High School diploma or GED Experience in medical/surgical dermatology (preferred) Experience with EMA (big plus) Proficient with an iPad and software applications Work Environment and physical requirements: Medical clinic, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs. Qualifications Graduate of an approved medical assisting program (preferred) Dermatology or surgical experience is (preferred) Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Strong problem solving and analytical skills Ability to work well on a team and as a leader Clinically and technically competent Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Education:
High school or GED (required) Associates degree or bachelor's degree (nice to have)
Experience:
EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred) Mohs/ Surgical (Preferred) Clinic experience required
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
