Medical Assistant / LPN Job Overview •This will be a full-time position•We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting providers with patient care, performing clinical and administrative duties, and helping ensure an efficient and welcoming healthcare environment. •Must have prior clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting. LPN license required if applying as an LPN.•Responsibilities Perform patient intake, including obtaining medical histories, vital signs, medication lists, and chief complaints. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care as needed. Administer medications, injections, and treatments within scope of practice and applicable licensing requirements. Prepare exam rooms, clean and sterilize equipment, and ensure supplies are stocked and ready for patient care. Collect and process specimens, perform basic lab testing, and assist with diagnostic procedures as directed. Document patient information accurately in EMR/EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Provide patient education and support regarding medications, treatment plans, follow-up care, and general health maintenance. Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, prescription requests, and communication with pharmacies, labs, and other healthcare providers. Support front-office operations as needed, including scheduling, answering phones, and helping maintain smooth clinic flow. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, basic patient assessment, and clinical office procedures. Experience with EMR/EHR systems. Ability to take accurate vital signs, administer injections, assist with procedures, and document patient care appropriately. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, providers, and healthcare team members. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
