More about our team Join our team of healthcare professionals in an office that provides pain management services. We are a busy chronic pain management office that leans more toward interventional treatments than medication. Our patients are primarily adults managing long-term pain conditions. The Medical Assistant will support providers with patient care, assist with procedures, and ensure efficient daily operations. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, pays close attention to detail, and works well within a team-oriented environment. How you'll contribute An MA who excels in this role: Duties include assisting with the direct care of patients as well as other clinic activities such as preparation and information documentation for the patient's visit including obtaining vitals, medical history and other pertinent information from the patient. Prepares exam rooms for patients. May assist with procedures as directed by the Provider. Assists with collection of lab samples. We offer on-the-job training and a career assistance program to help you become a Certified Medical Assistant. Additional requirements include:
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS). Certification must be completed within 30 days of hire and maintained.
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent Work experience: Past experience in the medical field is preferred, but working as a medical assistant in a physician's office is not required.
