Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency medicine settings, ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient care. Your expertise will help facilitate efficient patient intake, vital sign collection, and medical procedures while maintaining a compassionate approach to every individual you serve. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision Support physicians during examinations and procedures across various specialties including dermatology and geriatrics Manage medical documentation including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure compliance and billing accuracy Provide basic life support (BLS) when necessary during emergencies or inpatient care situations Support medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining organized records Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, or urgent care centers Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding standards Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or hospital experience preferred Familiarity with procedures involving medication administration, Experience working within hospital environments such as Geriatrics units.
