Job Description
About us We are a friendly, professional, patient focused practice with 5 physicians in 3 locations. Our physicans are not dictated by timeframes or corporate pressures, but take pride in spending time with each patient and providing the best options for their foot and/or ankle problem. •Job Overview• We are seeking a multiskilled health professional who works independently, yet under physician direction to provide quality healthcare to the patients. Applicant must have the ability to perform both clinical and clerical tasks. The position will include both yet not be limited to either. This position has a Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm work schedule.
Responsibilities:
1) Greets patients and escorts them to exam rooms. 2) Assists in completion of any forms/histories as needed. 3) Maintains accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times. 4) Provides patients with basic information and instruction regarding procedures. 5) Schedules patients for tests, completing required forms for labs/tests, etc. 6) Assisting physicians with exams and minor office procedures as needed. 7) Preparing and administering medications with physician authorization. 8) Changes dressings, applying bandages, removing sutures and other first aid procedures. 9) Cleans and sterilizes medical instruments/patient exam rooms and observes principles of sterile technique in performing duties. 10) Disposes of biohazard waste according to OSHA standards. 11) Practices OSHA Standards. 12) Inventories and stocks and orders supplies. 13) Attends scheduled meeting with staff, administration, and or physicians to keep apprised of updates. 14) Cross training in other positions to assist and fill in as needed 15) Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements:
1) Must possess basic computer skills. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other office software a plus. 2) Must be able to multi-task 3) Must possess strong listening, verbal, and communication skills. 4) Must be people oriented with the empathy in dealing with patients concerns and fears. 5) High school education required. 6) Experience preferred, but willing to train appropriate fit.Job Type:
