  • Full-time $18
  • $24 an hour
  • Full-time Are you the kind of clinical professional who thrives in a fast-paced cardiology setting and wants more than just another medical assistant role?
Florida Heart and Vascular is looking for sharp, motivated Medical Assistants and Scribes — especially those on the pre-med track — to work side-by-side with our Electrophysiologists and Cardiologists across our four South Florida locations. This is hands-on cardiology at the front lines: real device knowledge, real EP exposure, and real career growth in one of the most dynamic cardiovascular practices in the region. Why Florida Heart and Vascular? Established & Growing — A four-location cardiology and electrophysiology practice serving Fort Lauderdale North, Fort Lauderdale South, Margate, and Plantation West. Specialty Exposure — You'll work directly with experienced Electrophysiologists and Cardiologists — gaining exposure to device interrogations, advanced cardiac diagnostics, and EP procedures that most MAs never see. Career Acceleration — Whether you're a pre-med student building hours toward medical school, a CMA looking to specialize, or a CCT ready to grow — this role is built to develop you. Real Mentorship — We invest in our people through cross-training, mentorship, and a culture where initiative is rewarded. Great People & Great Pay — Competitive wages, full benefits, paid time off, and a team you'll actually enjoy showing up for. What You'll Do As a Medical Assistant / Scribe at FHV, you'll be the right hand to our providers and a critical advocate for our patients. Day to day, you will: Scribe in real time during cardiology and EP visits — capturing accurate, complete documentation in our EMR. Room patients, , and prepare them for cardiology evaluations, device checks, and EP consultations. Perform ECGs, set up Holter and event monitors, and assist with in-office cardiac diagnostics. Abstract charts and ensure all pertinent labs, imaging, and diagnostic test results are available to the clinician before the patient is seen. Manage electronic prescription refills and support a busy clinical phone triage workflow. Assist providers with patient care, procedures, and device-related workflows. Travel between our four locations as needed to support the team and our patients. Cross-train across all clinical MA/Scribe duties — every member of our team is versatile, accountable, and patient-first. Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is sharp, self-motivated, and genuinely compassionate about patient care. You take initiative without being asked twice. You catch the small things. You move fast — but never sloppy. You'll thrive here if you are: Knowledgeable in cardiology and cardiac devices (pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders, etc.) — or eager to master them. A pre-med student, CMA, or CCT with a strong clinical foundation. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting. A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. A true team player who can also take ownership and run with it. Reliable, professional, and committed to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Requirements Prior medical office experience (cardiology or EP strongly preferred). Proficient computer skills and comfort working in an electronic medical record (EMR). Current BLS certification. Reliable transportation — this role travels between our four South Florida locations. Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards at all times.
Preferred:
1+ year of EP & Cardiology experience. CMA or CCT certification. Pre-med student route. Bilingual English/Spanish. What We Offer Competitive compensation aligned with your experience and certifications Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Hands-on EP and cardiology training that builds your clinical resume A collaborative, professional team that values initiative and growth
