Medical Biller Job description Prestigious, established ophthalmology and aesthetics practice is seeking an experienced medical biller candidate that would be responsible for the full revenue cycle management process , ensuring accurate and timely claims' submission to insurance companies, claims denials' resolution and maintaining positive patients' accounts balances. The candidate will play a key role in the overall management and completion of all the administrative, billing and accounting flows for improving revenue and enhancing the practice's growth and reputation.

Duties:

Billing:

Claims Processing and Submission:

Prepare, submit, and track medical claims to various insurance companies, commercial payers and / or Medicare, Medicaid.

Patient Account Management:

Manage patient accounts, including billing, collections, and payment arrangements.

Revenue Cycle Management:

Oversee various aspects of the revenue cycle, such as authorization, eligibility verification, and claims denied and re-submittals management.

Billing and Coding Accuracy:

Ensure accuracy in billing and coding practices, adhering to regulatory requirements and payer guidelines.

Collection and Account Receivable:

Manage accounts receivable, including following up on unpaid claims, resolving denials, and pursuing collections.

Reporting and Analysis:

Generate reports on billing and collections data, identifying trends and areas for improvement Meets financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Run and present timely reports, KPIs and metrics to management. Assist in negotiating and maintaining insurance contracts with various payers.

Compliance:

Ensures regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws and other federal, state and local laws. Qualifications and Skills Candidates will preferably have at least 2-5 years' experience in the medical field, preferably with strong exposure to the ophthalmology and cosmetics fields. College degree in Business Administration and Certificate in Health Management and Billing are preferred. Management Experience and sound knowledge with Medical Billing, ICD-10, CPT coding and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) Excellent communication skills with patients, insurance companies and marketing vendors. Flexible, reliable, positive attitude that works as a team and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask well. Solid computer knowledge with MS Office Suite and Medical Software.
