Job Description

Senior Biller / Billing Manager Busy Medical practice located in Carmel, Indiana is seeking a seasoned and professional Billing Manager. Seeking someone that is attentive , detail oriented and has previous supervisory experience w/ enjoys a team oriented approach Good organization is a must Individual will need to oversee the billing processes and all A/R tasks including account set-up, charge + payment entry, claim submission, denial/ claim follow-up as well as monthly reporting/ reconciliation to the physician staff. Individual will need to have working knowledge of current Medicare/Medicaid and local commercial carrier policies. Should have experience and knowledge accessing online billing portals for various carriers. Also responsible for overseeing demographic information and assisting with meeting guidelines / criteria for Medicare based incentive programs. (i.e. MIPS). Must be able to troubleshoot higher level systematic billing problems and be able to navigate/ modify/ customize the practice management( billing) software. Should have some basic accounting experience such as with Excel spreadsheets , Quicken/ Quickbooks, etc. Will be responsible for month end reconciliations, Quicken entries and financial report creations. This is a full-time position and the wage will be commensurate with previous experience and skill level. Medical Specialty experience in an outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
Requirements:
Preferred candidates which have had previous "hands-on" billing experience. Must have previous medical office billing management experience Experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines Coding and billing experience Accounts Receivable management and Denials Responses Charge entry and claims scrubbing Electronic claims processing, claims follow-up, and payment posting Working with denials, appeals and establishing payment plans Monitoring and obtaining pre-authorizations for services Customer service inquiries EMR skills Excellent communication skills Team oriented Strong desire to achieve goals Ability to multi-task and dependable Must be detailed oriented and willing to play a crucial role in a small but effective billing team.
