Medical Billing/Coding Specialist

Full Time - Medical Billing Specialist Northeast Internal Medicine is a busy, patient-focused internal medicine practice, and we're growing! We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing and/or Coding Specialist to join our team. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with insurance claims, and being part of a supportive, fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you. In this role, you'll play an important part in keeping our revenue cycle running smoothly by ensuring accurate coding, timely claim submission, and thorough follow-up on accounts.

Responsibilities:

Investigate and resolve claim issues, keeping your supervisor informed of trends or concerns Review, correct, and resubmit denied insurance claims Assist patients with billing questions in a professional and friendly manner Follow up on outstanding insurance and self-pay balances Stay up to date on current billing practices, regulations, and procedures

Requirements:

Experience in medical billing required; coding experience is a plus Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable using computers and navigating multiple systems Experience with Epic is a plus, but not require Pay is based on experience.
