Job Description
Medical Intake Coordinator Location:
Slidell, LA (In-Office)Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Access Home Care Solutions is seeking a highly organized Intake Coordinator with prior administrative experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or clinical settings to support our growing operations team. This in-office position requires exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Coordinate documentation and internal communication between departments such as Nursing, Pharmacy, and Management. Process and organize new referrals and physician orders with precision and consistency. Enter and update data across multiple platforms, including Tebra, Google Sheets, and internal systems. Maintain and monitor nurse schedules, ensuring workflow accuracy and timely updates. Input accurate information while building and/or updating patient records. Review all incoming faxed and/or emailed documents and ensure proper routing and filing. Track and upload supporting documentation to ensure records remain accurate and compliant. Comply with company "best practices" to maintain consistency and operational excellence. Support daily operational processes to ensure smooth coordination across the team. What We're Looking For Strong organizational and time management skills. Keen attention to detail with the ability to follow established procedures accurately. Proficiency with computers and multiple-screen workflows. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe required. Prior administrative experience in healthcare or clinical settings preferred. Understanding of processes in healthcare and compliance standards. Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations required. Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and adaptable in a structured office environment. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clear background check are required. Work Environment Fully in-office, desk-based position. Requires extended periods of computer work using multiple monitors.
