Medical Laboratory Technologist Part-time Generalist Saturday coverage

Overview Our growing private clinical laboratory is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in performing laboratory tests and analyses that aid in the diagnoses and treatment of patients. This position requires a strong understanding of laboratory techniques in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation and medical terminology with the ability to work efficiently in a clinical environment. The main schedule is 9-5 AM to help cover Saturdays when needed and weekday dayshift or evening shift during staffing shortage. Duties Conduct laboratory tests on various biological specimens, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results. Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data entry and management. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide insights for patient care. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies ensuring proper functioning and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Stay updated on advancements in medical technology and laboratory practices. Uphold quality control measures and participate in laboratory management activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field with Clinical Laboratory Internship. Certification as a Medical Technologist (e.g., ASCP, AMT) is preferred. Strong knowledge in Clinical laboratory practices such as Chemistry, Hematology, CBC Manual Differential count, Urinalysis and microscopy, Coagulation, Medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Proficiency in clinical laboratory techniques. Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Ability to work effectively and independently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
