Compensation:
Starts at $18.05/hour, based on education, experience, certification, and internal equity.

You'll work alongside providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure patients receive safe, efficient, and compassionate care. Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Boone offers a perfect balance of community, culture, and outdoor adventure.

Starts at $18.05/hour, based on experience, education, and internal equity.
Schedule:
Monday thru Friday 8-hour shifts

What You'll Do as a Medical Assistant Provide both clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced outpatient medical office Assist with exams, procedures, vital signs, and patient preparation under provider supervision Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic health record (EHR) Schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and support smooth clinic flow Educate patients about treatments, medications, and procedures Ensure a professional, patient-centered environment that promotes safety and comfort Qualifications Minimum Education High School Diploma or GED required Experience Previous experience in healthcare or a clinical setting preferred Required Licensure/Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (required at hire) RMA, AAMA, or CCMA certification required within one year of hire Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong multitasking and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment Basic understanding of medical terminology and EHR systems Physical & Work Environment Physical Demands Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods Lifting/carrying medical supplies and equipment (up to 50 lbs occasionally) Frequent bending, reaching, and manual dexterity for procedures and equipment use Clear verbal communication with patients and team members Working Conditions Indoor clinical environment with exposure to medical equipment and instruments Regular interaction with patients, providers, and support staff Adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory protocols May require flexibility in scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends What Sets Us Apart
