Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our medical office team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first and last point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and efficient patient flow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated healthcare environment committed to delivering outstanding patient care. This position involves a dynamic blend of front-desk, check-in, and check-out duties, as well as medical receptionist responsibilities. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle medical billing processes including medical collection efforts Schedule patient appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software and answer phone calls while maintaining excellent phone etiquette Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information, updating medical histories, and explaining clinic policies Handle front desk responsibilities including answering phones, managing appointment reminders, and performing office management duties Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office support role with clinic or dental experience preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing practices Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and office management software like Meditech or Dentrix Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and perform insurance-related administrative tasks efficiently Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone manner and strong communication abilities Prior clinic or hospital experience is preferred; dental office experience is highly valued Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Join us at The Modern Heart & Wellness Clinic to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing friendly service and seamless administrative support.
