Medical Receptionist

Medical Receptionist Our podiatry practice needs a self-motivated individual for our Medical Receptionist position. 40 hours a week guaranteed with no weekends. An individual with a background working or in school for any medical setting is required, volunteering at a medical facility can satisfy this requirement. Any experience with epic EMR system is a plus. We're looking for a professional who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking and able to keep up with the demands of a high paced practice. There are a few advancement opportunities for the successful applicant. Willing to train a motivated individual. You must have reliable transportation and is willing to travel to other clinics. This is a full time position. Start times may vary but can be as early at 630am, depending on the Physician's schedule of the day.

• Greet patients upon arrival, check patients in, and room the patient.
• Provide patients with intake and new patient forms and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
• Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
• Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician availability.
• Input data and scan documents into our EHR.
• Help to fit patients for inserts, slippers, boots, ankle braces and diabetic shoes.
• Autoclave tools, tidy exam rooms, and stock rooms with supplies.
• Provide patients with support and guidance as needed in person and on the phone.
