Job Description

The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. This position involves greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, verifying insurance, completing pre-registration, and ensuring smooth front desk operations. By maintaining efficiency, professionalism, and upholding Dermatology Partner's core values, the Medical Receptionist helps create a welcoming and supportive environment for both patients and the clinical team Grow Together Work collaboratively with providers and team members to enhance patient care, share knowledge, and support each other's professional growth. Expectations:
Continuously learn and adapt to new systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), Practice Management, and insurance processes. Seek opportunities for professional development and collaboration with the team to enhance patient experience. Embrace feedback and challenges as opportunities for personal and team growth. Ensure accurate collection and documentation of patient demographics, credit card and insurance information. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations in all administrative tasks. Prioritize efficiency and accuracy in scheduling, data entry, and clerical duties to support smooth office operations. Adapt to different workflows and provider preferences, focusing on solutions rather than personal preferences. Greet and assist patients with warmth, professionalism, and empathy, ensuring a welcoming environment. Respond promptly and effectively to phone calls, and emails to support patient needs. Maintain the facility's cleanliness and organization to enhance the patient experience. Approach challenges such as insurance verifications, and system updates with persistence and problem-solving. Maintain a positive, professional demeanor under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
Adaptability to new technologies, including EMR systems and various software platforms, to enhance efficiency and patient care. Professionalism in all aspects, including punctuality, organization, and maintaining a polished, presentable appearance. A strong ethical foundation, ensuring compliance with medical regulations and the highest standards of patient care. Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure clarity and effectiveness in patient care and team collaboration. Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service with empathy and compassion. Must be able to travel to our other regional clinics as needed. Medical office reception experience preferred, but not required.
