Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Technician, where your expertise will directly contribute to patient care and clinical research excellence. In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and data management tasks to support diagnostic testing, research studies, and clinical trials. Duties Collect, process, and handle biological specimens including blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids using aseptic techniques and proper laboratory procedures Perform laboratory assays such as ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), PCR (polymerase chain reaction), flow cytometry, and immunoassays to analyze samples with precision Manage data entry, organization, and analysis within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to ensure accuracy and traceability of results Conduct RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood banking procedures while maintaining strict quality control standards Assist in clinical trial activities by preparing samples, documenting procedures, and ensuring compliance with protocols Monitor vital signs and perform venipuncture or phlebotomy for blood sampling in accordance with safety guidelines Maintain laboratory equipment, manage inventory of reagents and supplies, and uphold laboratory safety protocols including proper specimen processing and storage Experience Prior experience working in a clinical or research laboratory setting is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory techniques such as blood banking, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology Hands-on experience with laboratory management systems (LIMS) and data analysis tools Familiarity with laboratory procedures involving specimen collection/processing, blood sampling, venipuncture, and aseptic technique Experience supporting clinical trials or working within hospital environments is advantageous Strong understanding of laboratory safety standards and hospital-based protocols related to blood banking and specimen handling Proven ability to perform laboratory techniques accurately while adhering to strict regulatory guidelines Embark on a rewarding career where your technical skills make a real difference!
