Medical Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assisted Living Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care by administering oral medications and performing various laboratory-related procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and safety in all tasks. Duties Administer prescribed oral medications to residents— no injections required Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper labeling and documentation Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly Follow established protocols for quality control and safety procedures to ensure accurate results Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results and assist in diagnosing patient conditions Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health regulations Stay updated on advancements in medical technology and laboratory practices Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in a similar role Associate's degree or higher in Medical Technology or a related field preferred Certification as a Medical Technician or equivalent is a plus Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data accurately Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare team members Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and procedures is advantageous If you are passionate about contributing to patient care through your technical expertise, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as a Medical Technician in our assisted living community.
