ASAP Job Overview A large healthcare provider in the Indianapolis area is seeking a Medical Technologist / MLT to join their clinical laboratory team. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic testing on patient specimens to support disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing on blood, urine, and other patient specimens Ensure accuracy of results through quality control and quality assurance procedures Document and maintain laboratory records and test data Utilize laboratory information systems (LIS) for data entry and result reporting Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers Assist with validation and improvement of lab procedures Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance standardsQualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related fieldExperience:
Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience (clinical or hospital lab preferred)Certification:
ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification preferred Must obtain certification within 12 months of hire if not currently certified Skills & Requirements Experience with laboratory testing and analyzers Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Experience working with LIS systems Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of lab safety and compliance standards Work Environment Hospital laboratory setting Exposure to biological specimens and hazardous materials Must follow PPE and safety protocols at all times Why This Opportunity Contract-to-hire with long-term potential Work with a large, reputable healthcare system Strong clinical lab experience across multiple departmentsPay:
