Nursing Supervisor or Facility Administrator Position Overview:
The Medication Administration Technician supports the clinical team by administering prescribed medications to clients in the detox and crisis management units. This role ensures accurate medication delivery, proper documentation, and adherence to state regulations and facility policies.Key Responsibilities:
1. Medication Administration ○ Administer prescribed medications to clients in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols. ○ Verify client identity and ensure the correct medication and dosage are administered. ○ Observe clients for any adverse reactions or side effects and report findings promptly to the clinical team. 2. Documentation ○ Maintain accurate and detailed records of all medication administration activities. ○ Document missed doses, client refusals, or other issues following facility policy. 3. Inventory and Storage ○ Assist in maintaining and organizing the medication inventory. ○ Ensure medications are stored securely and according to regulatory standards. 4. Compliance and Safety ○ Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding medication administration. ○ Participate in regular training and competency evaluations related to medication handling and administration. 5. Collaboration ○ Work closely with nursing staff, behavioral health techs, and other team members to provide holistic client care. ○ Assist with non-medication-related client needs when required.Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Mandatory Requirements ○ Completion of the approved Medication Administration Technician course. ○ Criminal background check clearance. ○ Compliance with pre-employment and ongoing drug testing policies. 2. Experience and Skills ○ Previous experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred. ○ Strong attention to detail and adherence to protocol. ○ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 3. Physical Requirements ○ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. ○ Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds Ability to work rotation shift. 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, then second week-2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. Have day shift and night shift openings. 12 hour shifts...7am-7pm day shift or 7pm to 7am night shift.Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per weekBenefits:
