Memory Care Director

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Memory Care Director to lead and oversee our specialized memory care community. In this vital role, you will coordinate all aspects of resident care, staff supervision, and operational management to ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for individuals living with dementia and other memory-related conditions. Your leadership will foster a warm atmosphere where residents feel valued, respected, and empowered to maintain their independence and dignity. Duties Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized care plans tailored to each resident's unique needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies. Supervise and mentor caregiving staff, ensuring high standards of compassionate care, safety protocols, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Oversee daily operations of the memory care unit, including staffing schedules, budgeting, and resource allocation to optimize quality of life for residents. Coordinate with healthcare professionals to manage medication administration, health assessments, and emergency response procedures. Foster strong relationships with residents' families by providing updates on care progress and addressing concerns with transparency and empathy. Lead staff training initiatives focused on dementia care best practices, social work principles, and behavioral management techniques. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to assisted living, nursing home standards, and long-term care facilities. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a focus on memory or dementia care. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervisory experience managing teams in senior or group home settings. Strong knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care strategies, and development of effective care plans. Background in nursing, social work, or related fields with familiarity in medication administration and resident safety protocols. Excellent organizational skills with experience in operations management, budgeting, and financial acumen within healthcare settings. Working knowledge of home & community care services as well as long-term care regulations.
