About Solace Counseling:
Solace Counseling is a compassionate, client-centered practice dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where individuals and families can heal, grow, and thrive. Our team values authenticity, empathy, and connection. As we expand, we're seeking a therapist who is passionate about working with children and adolscents while still willing to support clients across all age groups.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Mental Health Therapist whose primary focus and passion is working with children and adolescents through play therapy. While the majority of the caseload will consist of youth, the therapist will also have opportunities to work with adults, families, and diverse populations as needed. This role is ideal for a clinician who values a welcoming, collaborative environment and enjoys making a meaningful impact on young lives.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents Maintain a balanced caseload that may include adults and families Complete diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and required documentation Collaborate with parents/guardians, schools, and community partners when appropriate Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision Utilize evidence-based practices with a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field Active state license (LMSW/LCSW, LPC/LCPC, LMFT, etc.) or license-eligible Experience working with children and adolescents strongly preferred Strong therapeutic skills, professionalism, and a warm clinical presence Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team
