Job Overview Elite Mentoring is hiring several qualified staff members for the position of youth mentor and parent coach . Each position will require the ability to work on essential goals and focus areas with youth and parents. Qualified applicants will need to provide effective tools, strategies, support, collaboration, professionalism, compassion, respect, work ethics, writing skills, rapport building and a willingness to learn new skills. The youth mentoring position will require responsibilities with connecting youth to educational goals, life skills, volunteer opportunities, social skills, character goals, respect, honesty, employment goals, self-esteem building, integrity, and recreational goals. The parent coach position will require responsibilities, such as developing healthy relationships within the home, organizational skills, budgeting, accountability, listening skills, educational goals, life skills, promoting positive values and connecting parents with essential resources. Responsibilities Build trusting relationships with parents and children to understand their unique needs and goals Offer guidance on managing challenging behaviors and supporting children's social development Collaborate with social workers, educators, and community organizations to coordinate resources and support networks Document progress, challenges, and success stories to track family development over time Maintain confidentiality while creating a safe space for open dialogue and growth Skills Proven experience working with children in educational, social work, or counseling settings Strong mentoring abilities with a compassionate and motivating demeanor Excellent conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations effectively Ability to teach practical skills related to parenting, emotional regulation, and social interaction Ability to adapt coaching strategies to meet individual family needs while maintaining professional boundaries
Education :
Minimum requirements-associate's degree and above are preferred. Experience may supersede college degree contingent on the ability to perform the job duties.
Pay Rate :
The pay rate will be $26hour-$30hour based on educational level, experience or combination of the two areas.
