We are seeking an experienced ADC Associate, if you are looking to join our dedicated Thrift store retail team, we want to hear from you! The Awesome Things You'll Do Have a friendly customer service attitude. Consistently achieve brand productivity standards for donation handling and rough sorting of hard and soft goods. Maintain production room standard operating procedures (SOP) for receiving, storing and transporting of donations to designated stores. Execute efficient and effective donation processing by executing rough sort of donations by category (for example, textiles, housewares, shoes, and other categories as instructed by management). Track and communicate rough sorted cage count per day productivity to Key holder. Support, understand and adhere to Goodwill NYNJ Safety and IDC protocols, reporting any health and safety issues to your line manager. Partner with key holder to ensure all equipment is replenished as needed and store requests are fulfilled as scheduled. Engage all customers and donors, providing best in class customer experience. Share Goodwill NYNJ mission with our donors while attending the donations area, providing an exceptional customer experience and showing appreciation for their donation by handling with care and providing a donation receipt. . Donations Greet customers and donors within 30 seconds of entering the donation area, maintaining a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude. Offer assistance with donations as needed. Offer a receipt for all donations and educate donors on applicable literature. Maintain a clean, neat, and organized donation area, both inside and outside. Thank every donor for their contribution and invite them to return. Facilitate a contactless donation process by: Ensuring blue bins/cages are placed directly inside the donation area for locations with a separate donation entrance. Making blank donation receipts available on a small table within the donation area. Follow all policies for the safe handling and processing of donated goods upon receipt. Separate sellable donations into appropriate categories (e.g., textiles, housewares, other categories) based on donation center location requirements. Accurately maintain a count of donors using the designated tracking tool. Pushing to Stores Prepare cages and/or bins of roughly sorted donated goods for transport to designated store locations. Our Must Haves High School Diploma , equivalent or combination of education/experience required. 1 year of Retail or Customer Service Experience preferred. Previous Stock experience required. Proven ability to build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues. Ability to adapt to and engage with different customers. Strong communication skills with customers, sales leadership team and colleagues. Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team. Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate. Accuracy and attention to detail required. Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast ‐ paced and deadline ‐ oriented environment. Schedule This is a Full Time Role, requiring weekdays and some weekends. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
