Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, bobcat skid steer, flatbed trucks, and shear to move, load, and unload recyclable materials efficiently. Sort metals by type and quality, ensuring proper segregation for recycling processes. Conduct routine cleaning of work areas to maintain safety standards and a tidy environment. Assist with sanitation tasks including debris removal and waste management to uphold cleanliness standards. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling recyclable materials or equipment parts. Support the loading and unloading of materials using various machinery, ensuring smooth workflow. Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or similar machinery is highly preferred, but we will train. Experience in manufacturing or recycling environments is a plus. Familiarity with sanitation procedures and waste management practices is beneficial. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Certification in forklift operation or heavy equipment operation is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates.
