Mfg Tech- Pump Assembly

Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries. We have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician in Assembly that assemble components by hand, add finishing touches to components, and perform quality checks on parts.

Essential Job Functions:

Preform all product testing to ensure quality of each piece Test finished products for defects Maintain the tools used to create products Assembles products and parts Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions Verify specifications by measuring completed component Monitors the production line and removes faulty products Performing assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks Conducting quality checks on the functionality of parts and components Adding finishing touches to the appearance of components Performing minor repairs and reporting breakdowns in a timely manner Keeping equipment maintenance logs Collaborating with other departments to complete production orders on time Complying with internal policies and industry regulations Ensure work area is clean and safe This is not a complete list Requirements; additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems Fabricating experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to work in a team setting Work as a team within department and with other departments and Leads Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company policies

Required Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand.

Required PPE:

steel-toed shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
