Job Description

This job is open for an on site role in the following locations: Van Buren, AR; Tipp City, OH; Ellenwood, GA; or Waxahachie, TX. PURPOSE The Orientation Manager is responsible for leading a team of orientation instructors across all other terminal locations, by developing the people, creating best practices and auditing the teams regularly. This position is also responsible as tier one support for orientation staff and drivers in orientation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Maintain responsibility as an instructor at the terminal level. This will include the same job functions as an orientation instructor Develop the team, by setting goals, coaching, and regular one on one sessions Manage the relationships with key vendors, such as hotels, meal vendors, and transportation services Tier one support for orientation staff and driver issues while in orientation Develop and maintain an effective orientation environment and course list; to be both compliant with DOT and company policy if changes are made to either Travel domestically for on-site visits with orientation staff to develop teams, hire new members or meet with vendors Hiring and terminating orientation staff as needed to grow, or as a result of performance or company policy violations Qualifications and Education Requirements Maintain active CDL Class A High school diploma or equivalent Excellent communication skills and ability to conduct group presentations 5+ years of experience in transportation 3+ years of experience leading teams 2+ years of experience in driver orientation, advocacy or any other driver facing role Preferred Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Knowledge of DOT and Federal Employment regulations related to the hiring process
