Job Description
Overview
The MHE Asset Maintenance Supervisor requires knowledge of mechanics, hand tools, and basic automotive experience. Must have computer experience, good communication skills and good customer service skills. MHE Training lead will report to the MHE Group Manager.
The training Supervisor will have direct reports within their region and be responsible for day to day oversight along with performance management.
Responsibilities
Support and lead other technicians with all aspects related to the job.
Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.
Must be able to close repair orders correctly as well as call out discrepancies from other technician's repair orders.
Must be able to support other team members over the phone with trouble shooting or repairs.
Prioritize period end RO closing and stable inventory counts.
Must be able to create parts and service purchase orders as needed.
Responsible for support of documenting all standard operating procedures for the material handling maintenance department (physical and systematic)
Safety training for all technicians
Expert level experience in both LP and electrical lift maintenance (PMs, tune ups, brakes, battery management, attachments, transmissions, electrical systems, etc)
Qualifications
OEM certification preferred
Must be able to read and follow service manual instructions.
Must have good customer service skills
Computer applications using MS Office
high school / technical school education not required, but desirable
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must have 5-7 years experience with trouble shooting skills with electric equipment and LP equipment (certificates preferred)
Experience in basic repairs of electric and LP equipment.
Experience in attachment repairs.
Advanced electrical, LP, hydraulic system, and DVOM knowledge
Advanced mechanical troubleshooting.
Advanced electric motor repairs experience
Advanced LP engine repair experience
Mast adjustments and repairs experience
Hydraulic cylinder repair experience
Battery and battery charger experience.
Advanced brake service and repairs with electric or mechanical systems experience
Advanced service manual knowledge.
Must be able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restriction
Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions
Must be able to work in environment with excessive noise and respiratory hazards without restriction
Must be able to stand or lie down for extended periods of time to repair equipment
Must be able to have flexible movement: to reach equipment and/or parts and maneuver equipment
Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
