Job Description
Position Summary(Basic Job Function) This is a temporary or on-call position. Provides support for concerts, sporting events, outdoor functions and related University special events. Duties may include working at an assigned station in a concession stand; preparing and dispensing refreshments; transporting, maintaining and arranging supplies, equipment and materials; operating a cash drawer; assisting with parking enforcement; acting as an event usher; and similar event related responsibilities.
Conducts proctoring duties as assigned by Testing Center Manager, or designated representative, across colleges at MSU. Proctoring typicallycomplete in-person but can be conducted remotely as required by requesting units.
Characteristic Duties and ResponsibilitiesCompletes proctor training annually and as required by MSU colleges/program. Ensures academic integrity through the following: Accomplishes test candidate check-in and check-out processes. Continuous monitoring of test candidates during exam administration. Collects & inventories exam materials upon completion (as required). Enforce test administration rules to include test candidate dismissal for policy violations Completes proctor report for Testing Center Manager. Tracks and coordinates scheduling conflicts with Testing Center Manager, or designated representative. Reports our employee hours upon completion of proctoring assignment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Term:
Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period. Communications/Interpersonal Relationships Interacts with:
Students in order to provide information and answer questions. Graduate Students/Teaching Assistants in order to administer examinations Student Employees in order to administer examinations. Faculty/Staff/Managers in order to administer examinations Supervisors/Administrative Assistants in order to receive work assignments, training, and exchange information. Coworkers/Representatives for other University Departments in order to exchange information, resolve problems, and receive training as required. Desired Qualifications Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education.Preferred qualifications:
Previous experience as a teacher, professor, librarian or test administrator.
