May 2026 About the Job D. Yoder's Construction LLC builds decks and pole barns in the Eaton Rapids and surrounding area. We're looking for a mid-level construction worker who knows their way around a job site and wants a long-term career , not just a paycheck. This role is perfect for someone who has some experience and wants to grow into a lead or foreman position . What You'll Be Doing Help build and install decks and pole barns from start to finish Set posts, frame, install decking, trusses, metal, and trim Use power tools (saws, drills, nail guns, etc.) safely and correctly Read and follow directions from the Foreman or Lead Carpenter Load/unload materials and keep the job site clean and organized Follow all safety rules and company standards Show up on time , ready to work, and be a dependable team player What We're Looking For 3-5 years experience in construction (framing, decks, pole barns, or similar) Able to safely use basic tools (tape measure, saws, drills, levels, etc.) Can read a tape measure accurately and understand basic layout Comfortable working outside in all seasons Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Good attitude, willingness to learn, and respect for the crew Interest in advancing into a lead or foreman role over time Big Plus (Not Required, But Helpful) Experience specifically with decks, pole barns, or post-frame buildings Ability to read simple plans or drawings Experience leading small tasks or helping run a crew What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Steady, year-round work (weather permitting) Clear path to grow into Lead Carpenter or Foreman On-the-job training and support Respectful, team-focused work environment How to Apply Send us a quick message with: Your name and phone number Summary of your construction experience Any experience with decks or pole barns
