Eastlake Middle, Willoughby Middle , Willowick Middle Description The Middle School Jumpstart Program is a grant-funded summer learning opportunity designed to support incoming sixth and seventh grade students in strengthening foundational skills in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The program is intended to help students build academic confidence, reinforce essential grade-level standards, and ease the transition into middle school through engaging, supportive instruction. Qualifications Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for the assigned content area and grade level required Preference will be given to teachers with: Middle school teaching experience Experience teaching ELA and/or mathematics Experience working with intervention, remediation, or academic support programs Strong classroom management and collaboration skills Teacher Responsibilities Attend program orientation and planning session Collaboratively develop and follow instructional plans aligned to program goals and student needs Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in language arts and/or mathematics Differentiate instruction to support a range of student abilities and learning styles Maintain accurate attendance and any required program documentation Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, transitions, and other assigned times Perform other reasonable duties related to the successful operation of the Jumpstart Program as assigned by administrationHourly Rate:
