Job Description

Our teachers plan, organize, and implement a Christian instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their spiritual and academic potential. Our teachers are responsible for preparing lesson plans and educating students at all levels. Their duties include assigning homework, grading tests, and documenting progress. Teachers must be able to instruct in a variety of subjects and reach students with engaging lesson plans.
Job Responsibilities and Duties :
Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following : Spiritual Leadership Model Christian values and integrate Biblical principles, scripture, and a Christian worldview into all subject areas. Manage student behavior and discipline in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. Create a safe, respectful, productive, and inclusive classroom environment. Plan and implement appropriate daily and weekly instruction for students based upon the student's developmental status, mode of learning, and school curriculum guidelines for active learning learning. Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media approaches consistent with cooperative learning and availability of materials and equipment to support and differentiate instruction. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment and take necessary and responsible precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities. Organize the physical learning environment in a tidy, clean, joyful manner to encourage and maximize student learning. Develop, encourage, and maintain a system of observation and feedback regarding student progress, performance and development to adjust teaching strategies. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely student records as required by law, school policy and administrative regulations. Prepare required reports on students and activities. Develop an appreciation of and respect for the role and individuality of parents and partner with parents in their child's education. Facilitate positive parent-school interactions through appropriate communication with parents to include conferences, telephone calls, progress reports in which strengths and needs of the student are discussed. Maintaining positive relationships and effective communication with students, parents, coworkers and supervisors. Completes weekly classroom newsletter on time in an inviting format, includes pictures, and identifies areas of academics the class is pursuing. Participate in school and parent meetings. Monitors needs in the classroom and passes along information for ordering of all curriculum and supplies in the classroom. Develop and implement a plan for continued professional development in understanding and ownership of curriculum being taught in the class. Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following : Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds. Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, promptly return phone calls and answer emails. Participate in appropriate professional activities. Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations as directed. Other duties as assigned.
Evaluation:
Job performance will be evaluated through observations, formal and informal evaluations, and performance inside and outside of the classroom.
Pay:
$32,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
