Until Filled Irving A. Robbins Middle School is seeking a Math Teacher (Grades 7-8)(1.0 FTE) beginning August 2026. Must hold or be eligible for a CT State Teaching Certification in Math (029 preferred) The Farmington Public School District is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of Math Interventionist. Farmington is a suburban Hartford community with a strong record of educational excellence.
General Description:
Teachers provide effective instruction to ensure that students learn core content knowledge and skills as well as the competencies and dispositions essential for success in college, career readiness, and citizenship. Teachers attend to the development of the whole child and adjust instruction to meet psychological, social and intellectual needs. Working as a vital member of a learning organization, teachers develop relationships with colleagues, parents, and students and work collaboratively to ensure that all children achieve academic and personal growth. Teachers demonstrate all aspects of CT's Code of Professional Responsibility. Must hold or be eligible for CT State Teaching Certification in Math Preferred or Middle School Education (029, 003) Specialized training in content area or program being taught (Mathematics) Consideration will be given to the following - Relevant and recent experience References that indicate excellent instructional skill, initiative, and a learner mindset Philosophy that aligns with the district's core beliefs Various life experiences that enhance contributions to the overall district and/or school community
Salary:
$56,018 - $114,029 depending upon education and experience
