JOB POSTING - MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

Cedar Springs Public Schools encourages qualified individuals to apply for the position of Middle School Principal. Our middle school serves approximately 670 students (grades 6, 7 and 8) and approximately 40 staff members. The primary responsibility of the principal is to make connections with students, drive school improvement, and create conditions in which our students and staff can thrive. Requirements:

Minimum of MA degree in Administration or Educational Leadership Valid MI Administrative Certificate required Valid MI Teaching Certificate preferred Previous building level administrative experience preferred Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching or other relevant experience in school environment

Qualifications:

Leadership abilities in planning, supervision, human relations, communication and staff development Strong background in curriculum development, implementation and assessment History of positive relationships with students, staff and parents Demonstrated strengths in communications with all stakeholders and in varying settings Possesses a positive attitude and is dedicated to the development of a healthy school culture High standards, ethics, honesty and integrity Flexibility Knowledgeable in best practices relative to the middle school learner Reports to: Superintendent

Salary Range:

$111,477-$123,250, based on administrative salary table and commensurate with experience

We are located within the city limits of Cedar Springs, Michigan in Kent County. Cedar Springs Public Schools is one of 20 member public school districts within the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD).
