Position Type:

Full-Time, School-Based Contract We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a middle school assignment in Miller, South Dakota for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will support students in grades 7th-9th through a combination of push-in and pull-out instructional services. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students with high-functioning autism and emotional disabilities and be comfortable collaborating within a multidisciplinary educational team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with a small caseload in a supportive school environment.

School Schedule:

8:00 AM-4:00 PM Full school year assignment Responsibilities Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Implement accommodations and behavioral supports within classroom settings Develop, monitor, and maintain IEP documentation and progress reports Support students academically, socially, and behaviorally Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations Qualifications Active South Dakota Special Education Teaching Certification required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field Experience working with middle school students preferred Strong experience or comfort level working with students with high-functioning autism and emotional disabilities strongly preferred Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay: $41.00-$43.00/hour Consistent full-time school schedule Supportive school-based team environment Opportunity to positively impact student growth and success throughout the school year To expedite hiring process: email resume to: steve@kindspireeducation.com
