Work Schedule Summary:

This is a 9.5-month position, 7 hours per day•87.50% Monday through

Friday Position Responsibilities:

Provide instructional guidance/support and implementation of behavior interventions for middle school students that have been placed in-school suspension Assist with the development and monitoring of student behavior plans Communicate with students, parents, teachers, and appropriate school personnel regarding students placed in in-school suspension Perform general record keeping and clerical functions (e.g. attendance logs, program reports, etc.) Collect and report program related data Assist school counselors with character education programming and instruction; Periodically supervise grade level classrooms Other duties as assigned such as filling in for building needs when ISS supervision is not needed

Desired Qualifications:

Ability to organize, prepare, and implement lessons and associated materials Thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, and procedures used in teaching Desire to work with and educate children needing additional guidance and support Strong interpersonal skills and patience Experience with conflict resolution techniques/strategies 60 college credit hours (education related courses preferred)•or•Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
