Job Description

COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Ludlow Composites Corporation is an 80+ year old leading manufacturer of PVC and latex foam products.
JOB INTRODUCTION
This position leads hands-on effort in new installations of, alterations in, or repairs to, all electrical or mechanical equipment in the plant or on company premises including guidance of Maintenance Mechanics, and Maintenance Trainee employees. The successful candidate will also work to determine, develop, and implement creative, safe, and cost-effective process improvements. This shift is 7PM - 5AM (Tuesday through Friday)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and report potential equipment and plant problems to Maintenance Supervisor. Comply with safety regulations and ensure work areas are cleaned and maintained. Start-up and shutdown of the facility according to procedures. Log machine readouts/settings and adjust parameters appropriately to maintain emission control compliance Provide leadership to members of the maintenance team on projects and repairs. Participate in the design, construction and implementation of special engineering projects. Complete and submit purchase order requisitions to Maintenance Supervisor for approval. Contribute to the Safety Steering Committee as required. Ability to work flexible schedule and overtime as requested. Ability to be on call for plant emergencies.
WORK PERFORMED
Responsible for the start-up and shut-down of the facility. Collaborates with the Maintenance Supervisor to determine, develop, and implement safe and cost effective process improvements Performs Preventative Maintenance tasks to assigned equipment Log machine readouts/settings and adjust parameters appropriately to maintain emission control compliance Troubleshoots and repairs all production equipment and facility issues Leads other members of the maintenance team through projects and repairs Participates in the design, construction and implementation of special engineering projects. Completes and submits purchase order requisitions and submits for approval Develops an understanding of relevant
ISO 9001
Standards and ensures processes are in compliance with quality requirements.

Be available to be called into the plant for emergencies.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Standard factory setting around industrial machinery. Occasional work outdoors at the facility. Perform work in areas around material handling equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years of age High school diploma or the equivalent required Must have a valid driver's license Exceptional organizational skills Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout for operation and repair of production equipment including pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical (up to 600V AC/DC). Knowledge of gas, water, sanitary, emission, control, cooling, HVAC, and related systems Ability to read blueprints and perform fabrication such as machining, drilling, torching, grinding, welding, and assembly Knowledge of wiring diagrams and troubleshooting equipment issues Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders and schematics to perform preventative and required maintenance service on all production equipment Ability to manage multiple tasks at once Minimum of 2+ years experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment preferred Must have experience in operating forklifts, man lifts and other material handling equipment Must pass a background and drug screens Must be able to lift/move objects up to 100lbs. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbal and written. Self-motivated This position offers a comprehensive benefit package after 90 days. No phone calls
