MIG Welder (Fabrication) Penmac Staffing is hiring a MIG Welder for a fabrication manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a dependable individual who enjoys hands-on work, variety in daily tasks, and contributing to a team focused on getting quality product out the door. The MIG Welder will work in a fast‑paced shop environment and may assist in other areas of fabrication as needed. MIG Welder Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on fabricated metal parts according to specifications Read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions Set up welding equipment and ensure proper weld quality Assist with fabrication processes including press brakes, lasers, rollers, and drilling equipment as trained Load and unload materials and finished products Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all shop safety procedures May operate a forklift; experience preferred Move between tasks and departments as needed to support production goals Requirements for the MIG Welder Will train the right individual; MIG welding or fabrication experience is preferred Welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting is a plus Strong attendance and reliability are extremely important Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for long periods and perform bending and physical tasks Basic math skills and blueprint reading preferred General shop safety knowledge preferred Must be willing to submit to a pre‑employment background check and drug screen Schedule & Pay Monday through Friday / Overtime as Required 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM $17.00 per hour Full‑time, long‑term opportunity Apply online today or contact Penmac Staffing - Independence Branch (620)331-7600 for more information.
