Mill Machinist / CNC Set‑Up Mill Operator Summary We are seeking a CNC Mill Machinist experienced in full machine set‑ups and precision machining. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys custom, low‑volume work, takes pride in quality, and wants to grow their skills with modern equipment and advanced programming. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills to produce precision parts Perform complete set‑ups: tooling, fixturing, offsets, and program loading Edit and adjust programs using G & M code Read blueprints and hold tight tolerances Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools Troubleshoot tooling, fixtures, and machining issues Manage work independently in a custom job‑shop environment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Required Skills CNC mill set‑up and operation experience Ability to complete full start‑to‑finish set‑ups Working knowledge of G & M codes Strong inspection and measurement skills Attention to detail and focus on quality Comfortable with changing parts and setups Willingness to learn new machines and controls Preferred (Not Required) Haas mill experience or similar machines Fanuc and/or Mazatrol controls Interest in advancing CNC programming skills Experience with multi‑axis equipment Why Work Here Quality‑focused, low‑volume machining Modern, state‑of‑the‑art CNC equipment Company‑paid insurance and immediate PTO Competitive 401(k) match Paid training and clear internal growth path Rapid earning potential as skills increase Work Environment Mid‑sized, professional machine shop Custom, project‑based work with daily variety Strong culture of learning, ownership, and craftsmanship Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New Brighton, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
